La Petita 2022 is a blend of Xarel·lo, Malvasia and Sumoll Blanc sourced from organically farmed vineyards in Penedès. Planted on clay-limestone soils under a Mediterranean climate, the vines produce wines that balance ripeness with freshness and mineral tension. 

Designed as an accessible introduction to the estate, the wine reflects Joan Rubió’s philosophy of minimal intervention and expressive terroir. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a short maceration on the skins, followed by fermentation with native yeasts and ageing in amphora to enhance texture and purity. 

On the nose, it shows citrus, orchard fruit and subtle waxy notes. The palate is fresh and lightly textured, with bright acidity, a gentle grip and a distinct saline edge, leading to a clean, mineral finish. 

Positioned between more classic and more structured cuvées, La Petita is a versatile and approachable wine that captures the energy and character of Penedès.
