Lychee, elderflower and ripe peach dance together, carried by playful, natural bubbles and a lively streak of acidity. Floral, fruity and irresistibly easy to drink, this pét-nat captures both grapes at their most joyful. A glass that feels like spring, whatever the season...
This pét-nat brings together two very different grapes from Philipp Grob's vineyards in St. Gallen. Müller-Thurgau, Switzerland's most planted white variety, contributes its classic character of peach, apple and delicate floral notes, backed by crisp, refreshing acidity. Muscaris, a modern German crossing of Solaris and Muscat Blanc bred for disease resistance, adds an entirely different register, a distinctive lychee note alongside elderflower, acacia and a touch of tropical fruit.
As with every Grob wine, the grapes are picked by hand, fermented spontaneously and left free of additives throughout. For this cuvée, the wine finishes its fermentation directly in bottle using the traditional pétillant naturel method, developing its gentle, natural fizz without any dosage or added sugar. No fining, no filtration, no added sulphur.
The result is playful and aromatic, blending Müller-Thurgau's fresh orchard fruit with Muscaris's floral, almost perfumed lift. Light at just 10% alcohol, it makes an easy, joyful aperitif or a natural companion to a warm afternoon in the vineyard.
