Domaine des Tuileries

Bryan

Domaine des Tuileries is Bryan Marx's new venture in Venteuil in the Marne Valley. While still involved in the family estate, this personal project allows him to express his free and modern vision of champagne, seeking to reveal specific terroirs and an assertive style, rooted in tradition but open to experimentation and spontaneity...

Single vineyards identity

Bryan Marx began his adventure in 2018 when he decided to create Domaine des Tuileries from a selection of approximately 1.5 to 1.6 hectares taken from the family vineyards of the inherited estate, alongside the family's traditional farming activities. He quickly focused his work on practices that respect the vines and the soil, launching the conversion to organic farming in 2019 with the aim of obtaining certification for the 2022 or 2023 harvests, depending on the plots. This approach reflects Bryan's desire to revisit champagne through a conscious approach, attentive to living organisms and the expression of the terroir, while retaining the freedom of an independent and personal project.

The Domaine des Tuileries vineyard is based on plots located in Venteuil, facing south, planted with the three traditional Champagne grape varieties Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier on chalky or silty-clay soils. The vines are on average between 30 and 40 years old, which brings beautiful maturity and depth to the grapes, the basis of the estate's wines. Each plot and each grape variety is worked with care and ambition, with the aim of creating unique cuvées that are faithful to the characteristics of the soil and climate, and allowing nature to express itself without excess, in a spirit of respect and precision.

In the cellar, the wine is made in wooden barrels, with around a third of the wood being new, which brings structure and complexity while respecting the raw material. The wines are aged in a natural chalk cellar in Venteuil, which guarantees ideal temperature and humidity conditions, conducive to slow and peaceful ageing. The first vintages, notably a 100% Chardonnay from the Clos du Château, followed by single varietals or blends vinified separately, are designed as "coup de cœur" wines, free and precise interpretations of champagne. These cuvées often exude a beautiful, rich flavour, combined with tension and mineral or woody notes depending on the wine, and demonstrate a beautiful fruity maturity mixed with the complexity provided by the wood — an auteur champagne, both bold and elegant, a sincere reflection of the Venteuil region.
