More details...

Elefanta Citron 2023 is a 100% Riesling vinified with skin contact, grown on clay-limestone and sandstone soils around Dorlisheim. This cuvée explores a more textural side of Riesling, combining varietal precision with the structure of maceration.

The grapes undergo a short to moderate maceration on the skins before fermentation with native yeasts. This process enhances both aromatic intensity and texture, giving the wine a distinctive profile that bridges classic and orange styles.

On the nose, it shows intense citrus aromas, lemon peel, grapefruit and subtle herbal notes. The palate is vibrant and structured, with bright acidity, a gentle tannic grip and a slightly bitter edge that adds complexity and length.

Energetic and expressive, Elefanta Citron offers a dynamic interpretation of Riesling, where freshness, texture and character come together in a lively and engaging wine.
