Named after the jagged limestone that watches over the vines. Ripe stone fruit, citrus and soft white flowers open the nose, framed by a clean, saline backbone and a gentle, gripping bitterness from a short skin maceration. Rounded, herbal and mouth-filling, with real precision underneath. A white built for a long table and good company...
Tenuta Saiano, founded by the Maggioli family in the early 2000s in southern Emilia-Romagna, covers nearly 100 hectares, combining vineyards, olive groves, orchards and various crops in a holistic agricultural approach, just a stone's throw from San Marino.
The vineyard is planted on clay-limestone soils, and viticulture is conducted in a spirit of respect for nature, with minimal intervention, manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation and organic or biodynamic practices. In the cellar, the grapes are aged in various containers, stainless steel vats, amphorae and barrels, depending on the cuvée, to respect the expression of the terroir and each vintage.
Tenuta Saiano offers natural, supple and vibrant wines, often mineral, fresh and full of the personality of the Valmarecchia valley, while demonstrating a contemporary, open and sincere approach to wine.
