Character

Made from grapes grown on the Stierkopf vineyard in Mutzig, this Pinot Noir has a burgundy red color and develops slightly smoky aromas with notes of red fruit. The palate is fresh and delicious, lively and smooth, without any harshness.

Pair with

Black pudding, grilled red meats, barbecue, dark chocolate desserts: this wine with no added sulfur will pair well with any dish that calls for a fine red.

The soil and the vine

Facing south, the Stierkopf terroir in Mutzig is composed of sandy limestone. These old vines, over 30 years old, come from a mass selection of Burgundy Pinot Noir grapes. Harvested in early September 2023. Certified organic.

Vinification

10-day semi-carbonic maceration on whole grapes. Indigenous yeasts. Aged for 8 months in stainless steel vats. No added sulfites. Bottled in April 2024.

Serving

Serve chilled, at a temperature of 12-14 degrees.
