High-flying maceration by the undisputed master, Jean-Pierre Rietsch, we can't get enough of it!
Ten days of maceration of whole bunches in the juice from direct pressing gives this unusual Gewurztraminer a beautiful golden yellow colour, developing aromas of Gewurtz marc and kirsch. The palate is lively, fresh, full of energy, fluid and elegant. A beautiful balance, without any exuberance.
This Gewurztraminer is ideal with all kinds of Asian or Middle Eastern dishes: curries, couscous, tagines, etc. It can also be served with foie gras, a cheese platter or a fruit tart.
This Gewurztraminer comes from the marl-limestone terroirs of Mittelbergheim, including part of the Grand Cru Zotzenberg terroir, as well as the limestone-sandstone terroir of Stierkopf in Mutzig. Grapes harvested on 19 September 2023. Certified organic production.
Made from a 10-day maceration of whole bunches on direct press juice. Light sulphiting during fermentation. Indigenous yeasts. Aged on lees for 20 months in casks. Clarifying filtration on cellulose plates. Bottled: April 2025.
Serve chilled at 8-10 degrees.
