A severe mildiou attack in 2021 reduced yields at the Bannwarth estate to the lowest ever seen, making single-variety or even small-blend wines impossible. For the first time, all parcels were harvested together and pressed as one assemblage: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Muscat, Gewürztraminer, Sylvaner, and Chasselas combined in the press.

The wine spent six months in fiberglass tank, then moved to old barrels without topping up, developing gentle oxidative notes over time. After three and a half years of total élevage, it is now considered ready. A wine born of necessity that became something entirely its own.
