More details...

Fricandó 2022 is a 100% Albana grown on biodynamic vineyards within the hills of Emilia-Romagna. This native variety, known for its thick skins and natural tannins, is particularly suited to skin-contact winemaking, resulting in wines of depth and structure.

The wine undergoes an extended maceration on the skins, ranging from several weeks to months, followed by spontaneous fermentation in terracotta amphorae. This traditional approach enhances both aromatic complexity and texture, producing a wine rooted in historical methods.

On the nose, it reveals notes of dried flowers, honey and candied citrus, alongside ripe orchard and autumn fruit. The palate is broad and layered, combining grip, freshness and a distinct savoury edge, with a long finish marked by subtle bitterness and herbal nuances.

Fricandó stands as the most structured and contemplative wine of the estate, an intense and characterful expression of Albana that bridges tradition and natural winemaking.
