Triptyque blossoms in a pale yellow robe with golden highlights and fine, elegant bubbles. The nose opens with notes of fresh citrus, ripe apple and pear, white flowers and brioche, then reveals stony and slightly iodine-like touches. On the palate, the attack is lively and dynamic, with perfectly balanced acidity. The texture is straightforward and taut, marked by chalky minerality and fine salinity. The finish prolongs the ripe fruit, citrus peel and a lingering salty impression. A lively, complex champagne with great precision...
This champagne is a blend of the three classic Champagne grape varieties, Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay, harvested from different vineyards near Villers-Allerand, a village classified as Premier Cru in the Montagne de Reims. Each grape variety grows on a different type of soil, sand, chalk and clay, making Triptyque a mosaic of origins.
The vinification is carried out without intervention, with spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts, ageing in old oak barrels, without filtration or stabilisation, and with very little sulphur. The wine is bottled as Brut Nature (0g/l). The blend comes from the 2019, 2020 and 2021 harvests, and the wine has matured for several years before disgorging to develop the depth, complexity and mineral tension typical of the limestone terroirs of the Montagne de Reims.
Triptyque embodies Timothée Stroebel's philosophy of restoring the terroirs through simple gestures, patience and careful work in the vineyard. The contrast between sandy, limestone and clay soils, the blend of grape varieties and the long ageing process result in a champagne that is straightforward, rich and lively, a "living" wine, where each sip reveals a new facet.
At his estate in Villers-Allerand in the Montagne de Reims, Timothée Stroebel combines a strong desire to return to basics with family heritage, organic viticulture and natural winemaking. His champagnes are distinguished by their sincerity and profound expression of the terroir, reflecting a personal commitment and a vision that respects nature...
