Wiebelsberg is a historic Grand Cru in Alsace, situated in the commune of Andlau, where the pink sandstone and schist soils lend the Riesling a unique mineral character. Here, Lucas Rieffel has produced one of his most ambitious wines. The 2021 vintage, characterised by a summer freshness that prolonged the ripening of the grapes, has produced wines of remarkable precision and tension. This Grand Cru Riesling is the perfect reflection of this.
On the nose, notes of citrus, flint, white peach and a slight hint of resin. The palate is long and vibrant, with perfectly integrated acidity that gives the wine impressive length and dynamism.
