Zone Vignes reveals an expressive nose of fresh red fruits, bright raspberry, redcurrant and cherry, enhanced by floral notes and a subtle spicy touch. The palate is juicy and straightforward, enlivened by a fine acidity and a smoky minerality characteristic of volcanic soils. The overall impression is supple yet precise and luminous, with a lively, slightly peppery finish that highlights the purity of Gamay and the energy of the terroir...
Zone Vignes comes from a selection of Gamay grapes grown on the Les Petites Trouillères plots, located at an altitude of around 400 metres at the foot of the Puys de Tobize and Corent. The terroir combines clay-limestone and basalt colluvium. This volcanic mosaic gives the grape variety freshness, tension, aromatic brilliance and structure. The vines are cultivated organically, with an approach inspired by biodynamics, and harvested exclusively by hand to preserve the fruit.
The vinification follows a natural approach faithful to the Trouillères style, with semi-carbonic maceration of whole bunches, fermentation in fibre vats and short ageing in vats to preserve purity and dynamism. No inputs are used, except for a very low total SO2 content of less than 30 mg/l. This gentle method highlights the crisp fruit of Gamay, the spicy finesse and the mineral tension derived from the basalt. Zone Vignes is a lively, straightforward red, easy to drink but with a natural depth that accurately reflects the volcanic identity of the Puy de Dôme.

It is on the Corent plateau, a land shaped by volcanoes for centuries, that they finally put down their bags, under the benevolent gaze of local winegrowers such as Patrick Bouju, François Dhumes or Vincent Marie...
