A textured orange wine from Campania made from Malvasia di Candia, showing citrus peel, light tannins and a saline, mineral finish...
Cerreto 2023 is a 100% Malvasia di Candia grown in the hills of Cerreto Sannita, north-east of Naples. Planted on limestone, clay and volcanic soils, the vines benefit from altitude and maritime influence, bringing both freshness and depth to the wine.
The wine undergoes a short maceration on the skins, giving it its hazy color and a distinctive texture, while preserving brightness and drinkability.
On the nose, it shows citrus peel, white peach and light herbal notes with a subtle earthy and smoky nuance. The palate is lively and structured, combining saline freshness with a gentle tannic grip and a crisp, clean finish.
Unfiltered and made with native yeasts, Cerreto reflects Antonio Gismondi’s minimal-intervention philosophy, offering a precise and expressive take on orange wine from Campania.
