A vibrant Sauvignon from Touraine, born from Turonian tuffeau and flinty clay soils, offering crystalline freshness and citrus sparkle. Notes of white flowers, lemon and grapefruit, full-bodied and delicately tart on the palate, with a salinity that prolongs the pleasure. A lively, precise and delicious white wine, perfect for aperitifs, shellfish, grilled fish or fresh cheese...
The grapes come from vines that are around 30 years old, planted on Turonian tuffeau and flinty clay soils, which give the Sauvignon Blanc its tension, precision and distinctive floral expression. The grapes are harvested by hand to preserve their integrity and ensure the clean, fresh aromatics typical of the Loire terroirs.
Fermentation and ageing take place exclusively in stainless steel vats in order to preserve the aromatic purity of the grape variety and its lively, crystalline profile. This choice of vinification highlights the notes of white flowers, citrus fruits and the minerality of the soil, resulting in a dry, bright and immediate Touraine, faithful to the precise and indulgent spirit of Les Athlètes du Vin.
Les Athlètes du Vin is a small-scale wine trading project conceived by the Vini Be Good collective, bringing together several winegrowers from the Loire Valley around a common philosophy: prioritising the vineyard, the terroir and fair wine, without marketing or logistical complications. Each cuvée is vinified in the cellar of one of the collective's members, either with their own grapes or with grapes from the vines of friends or neighbours, offering a wide range of styles typical of the Loire at affordable prices. With wines representing the region's emblematic grape varieties, Chenin, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Gamay and Pinot Noir, Les Athlètes du Vin embodies a sincere, convivial and spontaneous approach to wine, conceived as a ‘sport of the glass’ in which everyone can participate....
