Marx-Coutelas Brut Tradition harmoniously blends Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay from the vineyards of Venteuil in the Marne Valley, a balanced blend, partially aged in barrels. Based in Venteuil in the Vallée de la Marne, the Marx-Coutelas family has been growing vines for several generations on clay-limestone slopes ideally suited to the three Champagne varieties. The estate farms a mosaic of south and south-east-facing parcels, focusing on soil vitality, natural balance and harvesting grapes at precise maturity.
In the cellar, each parcel is vinified separately, in stainless steel or barrel depending on the fruit, followed by careful lees ageing to retain finesse and depth.
